IT Administrator

Location: Onsite – 1 De La Warr Way, Cambridge.

We are seeking an IT Administrator to join our dynamic team. You will collaborate with our IT team to oversee the technical infrastructure and ensure the smooth operation of our systems, playing an integral role in maintaining the reliability and functionality of our IT environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proven experience in IT administration and support.
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and server administration.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
  • Knowledge of network protocols and infrastructure.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus.
  • Write comprehensive technical documentation and provide training and support to other team members as needed.
  • Minimum education and experience required: bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or related field.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably on AWS) and containerization technologies.

PREFERRED:

  • Manage and configure network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues
  • Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems.
  • Manage software licenses and ensure compliance with licensing agreements.
  • Perform routine system updates and maintenance tasks to ensure system reliability and security.
  • Maintain an inventory of IT assets and equipment, including tracking serial numbers and warranties.
  • Provide technical support to employees by diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
